Sweetest Moments That Remind Me Why I Do This

Pastel mug and toddler scribbles on sketchbook – a snapshot of the sweetest moments in mom life

Some days I wonder what’s the point. The dishes are piled up, my kid’s climbing all over the furniture, I haven’t even looked at my emails, and I’m supposed to be creative? But then—bam—something small and nice happens. And I remember why I even started doing this.

This is for those sweetest moments. The small wins. The messy good times. The little things that pop up and make it all worthwhile again. These are my sweetest moments—the ones that keep me going.

When My Son Points at My Stuff and Says Mama Made That

It could be a sticker, a print, or just a messy page from my sketchbook with some stars and a flower. But when he spots it, points with his little finger, and says super proud, Mama made that!—my heart melts.

It’s one of those sweetest moments where my life as a mom and my creative side come together. It reminds me that even if my work isn’t perfect, it still matters. He sees me making stuff. And that’s a big deal.

Nice Mornings With Coffee and Drawing

The house is quiet (rare, but it happens), I’ve got a warm drink, and my sketchpad is open. No deadlines, just drawing little clouds with sleepy faces or flowers that look like they’re straight out of a fairy tale.

Those slow, creative mornings are some of my sweetest moments. It’s like a breath of fresh air—reminding me why I started drawing in the first place.

A Message From Someone Who Gets It

Now and then, someone will just send me a message saying something like, This design? That’s exactly how I feel. Or, This mug made me laugh so much. I needed that today.

These are the sweetest moments where I feel like I’m talking to someone else out there—maybe another mom, tired and full of coffee, who just wants to feel understood for a second. That’s pretty awesome.

Seeing a Drawing Turn Into Something Real

It’s kind of magical seeing your little doodle—just a quick idea you drew while warming up your coffee for the millionth time—become an actual thing. A mug. A sticker. A planner cover. A blanket.

One of my favorites? This cozy sherpa blanket that says “Do Not Disturb – Mama Nap in Progress”. 🌸 It started as a tiny sketch of sleepy flowers and soft stars, and now it lives on an actual product that busy moms can snuggle under.

I look at it and think, I made that. I kept going, and look what happened.

These creative wins, no matter how small, pull me out of my doubts and remind me that I’m getting somewhere, even if it’s slowly. They’re my sweetest moments of growth.

Sweet Notes From My Husband in My Planner

Now and then, my husband will write something silly or sweet in my planner. A little heart. A reminder that I’m doing great. Something like: You’re amazing, don’t forget.

And it works. When I’m super tired and everything feels like too much, finding that message among all the to-dos is just what I need. It’s one of those small sweetest moments that helps me keep going.

My Kid Copying Me With Crayons and Stickers

There’s nothing like watching your kid grab a marker, sit next to you, and say, I’m working like Mama.

He sticks stickers on paper, scribbles circles, and tells me they’re designs. And I’m just trying not to cry.

Because these are the best and sweetest moments I didn’t see coming.

Someone Buys Something and Says “This Made Me Smile”

It’s not about how much I sell. It’s about the little notes people sometimes leave. I bought this because I’ve been having a hard time. This made me laugh—thanks.

Those are the sweetest moments that remind me I’m not just making stuff to sell. I’m making things to connect with people, make them feel better, and spread some good vibes.

Late Night Planning That’s Fun

When the house is finally quiet and the planning turns into dreaming—my kind of late night magic.

Once the house is quiet, I’ll sit with my ideas, my planner, maybe light a candle—and just plan stuff out. What to draw next. What to write about.

It’s work, but it feels fun. Like I’m playing. And I realize I’m building something that’s important to me.

Those little bits of fun, where planning and dreaming feel easy again, are some of the sweetest moments on this ride.

These moments aren’t a big deal. They’re not going to be famous.

But they’re mine. And they’re real. And when I look back, these are the things I’ll remember—the good stuff that makes it worth it. The sweetest moments that fuel everything I do.

So if you’re in the middle of a mess right now, just know: your good moments—your own sweetest moments—are coming. Maybe today. Maybe tomorrow. But they’ll be here.

Keep creating, keep showing up, and look out for them.
